I happened to come across these geaphic novels by accident. Wow, what a surprise! Such an interesting relive after the tv series! Definitely plan to continue. The graphics are incredible.
I bought this comic after seeing the premier of American Gods on Starz. I'm obsessed with the origins now. I haven't been then this excited about a show since true blood.
Great introduction to the world that Gaiman has envisioned. I will definitely need to pick up the actual novel next and then the TV show!!
It was okay. I wasn't blown away by the artwork or the staging or the writing. But the premise was interesting. I was expecting something to read, but, okay, a graphic novel. Lots of subtlety in the dialog, I guess that was the best part. I'm just not going to spend $2.00/chapter to chase an unending comic strip.
Good book! A little confusing but I am sure with the next one I just bought (but have not read yet) it will get clearer! Also the show will help, I'm sure but will not watch until ccan binge whole season!
This is a straight forward adaptation of the first chapter of Gaiman's masterpiece. The characters (with the exception of Low Key) are just as described by Gaiman in the books.
Highly recommended.
